Job Title: Senior Backend Developer – Healthcare Domain
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Dharwad, Karnataka (In-person)
Pay: ₹30,000 – ₹50,000 per month (Or as per experience)
Schedule: Day Shift

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with a strong background in building secure, scalable systems within the healthcare sector. This is a pivotal role focused on developing backend solutions that support clinical workflows, patient data management, and healthcare compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, develop, and maintain robust backend services using technologies like Python, Node.js, or Java
  • Design and manage APIs for seamless integration with EHRs, health apps, and third-party healthcare platforms
  • Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR, and other healthcare compliance standards
  • Collaborate with clinical, product, and data teams to align solutions with healthcare use cases
  • Implement FHIR and HL7 standards for interoperability and data exchange
  • Maintain high levels of data security, integrity, and availability of PHI (Protected Health Information)
  • Conduct code reviews and participate in architectural planning
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical process improvements

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development using modern frameworks
  • Proven track record in delivering backend systems within the healthcare domain
  • Expertise in healthcare data standards: FHIR, HL7, DICOM, ICD-10, CPT
  • Hands-on experience with EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Allscripts)
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance frameworks: HIPAA, GDPR, HITECH
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful/GraphQL APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Experience with OAuth2, OpenID, and secure data transmission
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Relocation Requirement:

  • Required: Must be able to reliably commute or relocate to Dharwad, Karnataka prior to joining
