Check Eligibility: Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria for the OINP stream you wish to apply for. The Ontario immigration department sets specific point criteria for each stream.
Prepare Documentation: Gather and prepare all necessary documents for your application. A well-organized document kit can prevent last-minute issues and delays in processing.
Apply for Nomination: Create an Express Entry profile and, if you have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 400 or higher, you may apply for a provincial nomination from Ontario. Successful nominees receive 600 additional CRS points, significantly boosting their chances of receiving a Notification of Interest (NOI) in the next OINP draw.
Apply for Permanent Residence: Once invited to apply, submit your application for permanent residence through Express Entry. You will have 60 days to submit your PR application.
Move to Ontario: After receiving your PR visa, prepare for your move to Ontario. Ensure you bring all relevant documents, including passports, identification, fitness and character certificates.
