Under Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP), provinces and territories in Canada can nominate individuals and families willing to settle in their province or territory based on specific conditions. Each province and territory defines its own eligibility criteria for PNPs. For example, one province may prioritize bringing in nominees with work experience in a specific occupation, while another may prioritize nominees with French-language proficiency. It depends on the requirements of each province and territory.
To become a provincial nominee, applicants must demonstrate that they meet the set criteria. This shows that the applicant has the skills, education, and work experience to make a positive contribution to the local economy and society. The province or territory will consider the application based on their specific requirements and the applicant’s genuine intent to settle there.
Within each PNP, there are several sub-programs and categories, usually known as “streams.” To find out which PNP streams and categories are currently open, you can contact our experienced counselors at TIC Visas.
